Gas prices up 10 cents a gallon across Erie

In case you couldn’t see the signs through all the snowflakes this morning, gas prices have jumped again.
The price for a gallon of gas jumped 10 cents Wednesday night into this morning at most area stations. This increase brings a gallon of unleaded regular to $3.59.
Gas prices have climbed 30 cents a gallon in the past six weeks, reflecting changes in the international oil market and a strengthening U.S. dollar.
What these rising gas prices mean for the summer driving season ahead is anyone’s guess at this point.
A year ago, we were paying $3.49. Prices climbed to $3.99 by early summer before falling to $3 in the fall on global economic worries.
