Arby’s has a new look, and it’s making its debut in Erie.
The chain of more than 3,400 restaurants has planned to introduce eight prototype redesigned restaurants, featuring a new logo, oversized awnings, exterior wood tones and stainless steel accents.
The first of those new designs, located just north of Interstate 90, at 7521 Route 97, has been unveiled.
The new location, like ones to follow, features a communal table with multiple seating options, a redesigned sauce and beverage bar, and a stainless steel food bar. The new Erie locations and prototypes to follow also will feature multimedia charging outlets.
The company, founded in 1964 in the Youngstown, Ohio, suburb of Boardman, said the “exterior wood tones also warm up the appearance of the restaurants while drawing on the nostalgic tiles of Arby’s past.”
The new design, or at least parts of it, are expected to be incorporated into redesigned Arby’s locations across the country.
Tom Douglas, the company’s senior director of operations, said customers like the new look and feel.
“Customers’ reactions to the new Arby’s have been overhwlemingly positive,” he said.
