HBK Sorce Financial drops Sorce from name

HBK Sorce Financial has changed its name to HBKS Wealth Advisors.

According to the firm’s CEO, Christopher M. Allegretti, the change reflects a need to more accurately portray the firm’s business as it continues to expand into new markets.

“We are very proud of the Sorce name, and the contribution that the Principals of what was originally The Sorce Financial Group, have provided us in terms of establishing and growing our wealth management business,” Allegretti said in a prepared release. “Now as we expand into new markets and continue to grow this business, we need a name that has more of a national than local feel.”

The Sorce Financial Group merged with Hill, Barth & King, a regional accounting firm, in 2001. Since then, the wealth advisory firm has expanded into Ohio and Florida as well as throughout western Pennsylvania. The firm has also added licensed financial professionals in a wide range of financial disciplines.
