Camping World, one of the nation’s largest RV and outdoor retailers, this morning announced that it will be opening a location in Erie by the spring of 2013.
The precise address of the new store was not released and the company did not return a call for comment.
The expansion to Erie is part of companywide plan to open in 13 new markets by the end of 2013. Harrisburg is the other Pennsylvania community the company has targeted.
Camping World has 95 supercenters nationwide and employs about 5,500 people. It was unclear how many jobs the Erie store might produce.
