Gas prices jump 4 cents at several Erie stations

Gas prices are ticking up again – just in time for the holiday.
Many stations are raising prices this morning to $3.49 for a gallon of unleaded regular. That’s up 4 cents a gallon.
Prices had dipped to $3.45 at many stations on Monday, reflecting the continued decline of international oil prices and reports that gas and oil inventories are rising.
Gasoline prices have been falling nationally, but Erie seems to be missing out on that trend.
In fact, for a few weeks now Erie has been among the most expensive markets for gas in Pennsylvania. Our friends in Harrisburg, for instance, can find gas for as low as $3.12 a gallon, according to gasbuddy.com.
The uptick in prices comes just as many Pennsylvanians are expected to hit the road for an extended Fourth of July holiday.
