The Hamot Health Foundation announced today that Charles “Boo” Hagerty, its chief development officer, was leaving the organization to become vice president of northern tier markets for the UPMC Health Plan.
His primary responsibility will be to ensure the expansion, retention and operational effectiveness of the UPMC Health Plan in Erie and the surrounding region, according to a statement from UPMC Hamot. Additionally, he will work with the local UPMC Health Plan team to build and implement strategic and tactical business plans to achieve measurable growth objectives and serve as the regional spokesperson for all northern markets.
Boo will be joining the UPMC Health Plan team at the end of August and his office will be located in the Boston Store. He will report directly to Mary Beth Jenkins, senior vice president and COO of the UPMC Health Plan.
