Gas prices, already at a record high for August, just went higher. The price jumped 10 cents a gallon across the region this morning leaving the price for a gallon of unleaded regular at many stations at $3.79.
That price is 20 cents higher than a year ago, and just 20 cents off the highs we reached in April.
