National chain to open pet hospital in Summit Township

Banfield Pet Hospital, which bills itself as the world’s largest veterinary practice, will open Saturday along with PetsMart in Summit Township.

Banfield, which has more than 800 hospitals across the country, will share space with PetsMart at 7451 Peach St.

Grand opening activities will include refreshments, contests, giveaways and hospital tours.

Banfield has pledged to give 20 percent of its opening weekend revenue to the Chautauqua County Humane Society.
