Greenleaf Corp., a privately-held company that has its corporate headquarters and main manufacturing plant in Saegertown, recently held its bi-annual international sales conference at the Sheraton Erie Bayfront Hotel and Bayfront Convention Center.
Greenleaf, which employs about 400 in Crawford County, last held the sales conference in 2010, when the company celebrated its 65th anniversary. The company specializes in carbide and ceramic cutting tools. The July conference was attended by representatives from 22 countries, including Canada, China, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Mexico, Morocco, Scotland, Singapore, Taiwan, Turkey and the U.S.
Greenleaf was founded in 1945 by Walter J. Greenleaf Sr. and marks its 67th anniversary this year. The company has international sales offices in The Netherlands and China. Greenleaf, which also has a ceramics plant in North Carolina, sells into more than 60 countries.
