Pennsylvania lauded for low taxes by Kiplinger’s

Here is some good news for retirees or soon-to-be retirees: Pennsylvania has been ranked among the top states in the country for being tax friendly to you.

Kiplinger.com this week released its comprehensive guide to taxes on retirement income, property and purchases, as well as lists the special tax breaks for seniors in every state. Whether you’re retired now, or just thinking about where you’ll settle in your golden years, the list is intended to help determine which state will be most beneficial for your wallet.
– The Good: Top 10 friendly tax states — AK, AL, DE, GA, LA, MS, PA, SC, WY
– The Bad: Top 10 least friendly tax states — CA, CT, MN, MT, NE, NJ, NY, OR, RI, VT
– The Ugly: Top 5 States with the highest income tax — CA, IA, OR, NJ, NY, VT
