Erie area companies send food to storm victims
Employees at Roberts Trucking in North East Township will be busy this afternoon loading a truckload of food bound for Hurricane Sandy Victims in New York City.
The cargo will include 9,000 jars of peanut butter and 8,000 jars of jelly, much of it donated Welch Foods.
Joe Messina, counsel for Roberts Trucking, said the company coordinated a similar relief effort following Hurricane Katrina.
