How fitting: Veteran wins $500,000 jackpot on Veterans Day at Erie casino
A Vietnam War veteran walked away from Presque Isle Downs and Casino $500,000 richer on Veterans Day after winning on a progressive slot machine.
No other details about the winner were released Monday.
The largest previous jackpot was $384,546.
“We couldn’t be happier that a true American hero won the $500,000 on Veterans Day,” said Mike Tamburelli, vice president and general manager of Presque Isle Downs & Casino.
