Erie’s Lavery Brewing at work on new IPA

Lavery Brewing Co. is working on a new creation that should pack a wallop.
The Erie-based microbrew is collaborating with Full Pint Brewing Co. out of Pittsburgh to create an IPA called ALPHAbet Stew that will feature Apollo, Bravo, Columbus and Delta hops. The beer is expected to have an alcohol content of 6.7 percent.
Jason Lavery, president of Lavery Brewing, said they are brewing ALPHAbet Stew just in time for the Pittsburgh Craft Beer Week, which runs April 19-26. The beer should also be available at the Erie Micro brew Fest on April 20.
A crew from Full Pint Brewing will be at Lavery’s on March 12 to make ALPHAbet Stew.
