A 60-year-old Erie company is expanding.
High Pressure Equipment Co., a leading manufacturer of specialty valves for high-pressure applications, has announced plans to move into a larger facility and is hoping to expand its workforce.
The company, located in a 14,000-square-foot facility at 1222 Linden Ave., plans to move in the first quarter of 2013 into a 43,000-square foot building at 2955 W. 17th St.
President Larry Loper said the company, which has about 50 employees, expects to add several more.
High Pressuer valves are used by a variety of customers including the oil and gas industry.
The company was established in the early 1950s, Loper said.
