Rick Santorum, bounced by Pennsylvania voters in his bid for re-election to the U.S. Senate in 2006, is enjoying a resurgence in his home state.

Santorum is leading Mitt Romney among Republicans, 45 to 16 percent, in the latest Franklin & Marshall College Poll of Pennsylvania voters. The poll was released today.

Santorum also has closed a potential November match-up with President Barack Obama to under 10 points. The poll shows Obama with 45 percent of the vote, Santorum with 37 percent, 7 percent for other candidates, and 12 precent undecided.

One month ago, the poll showed Obama with 43 percent and Santorum with 30 percent.
