Free $25 American Express gift cards today at 1 p.m.
FedEx will give away 30,000 Shop-Small American Express gift cards worth $25 each today.
For your chance at one, go to FedEx’s Facebook page, www.facebook.com/FedEx, today at 1 p.m. Eastern time. and look for the information on Small Business Saturday. The first 30,000 qualifying consumers will get one of the gift cards, according to a news release. Another 10,000 cards will be distributed directly to FedEx customers.
The idea behind the promotion is that FedEx will give away the cards and consumers will hopefully use the money to shop at small locally-owned businesses on Nov. 26, which is Small Business Saturday.

I just went to the Facebook page at 2:39 p.m. and it said the gift cards are all gone. Wow! That was quick. Was anybody lucky enough to get one?

I managed to get one around 2pm. It took forever to load the site.

I admit I got busy with other things and forgot to go to the site at 1 p.m. By the time I got there at 2:30, the gift cards were all gone.
