Starting today, that $1 greeting card you buy at Giant Eagle for Mother’s Day or your favorite graduate will get you $2 toward your next gasoline discount.

Giant Eagle announced a new Fuelperks 2X promotion.

Every $1 that Giant Eagle customers with an Advantage Card spend on items from the deli, bakery, prepared foods, specialty cheese, floral and greeting card departments will be worth $2 toward their next 10-cent Fuelperks discount. When customers spend $50 with their Advantage Card inside a Giant Eagle supermarket, they get 10 cents off each gallon of gas at GetGo. With the promo, you’d only need to spend $25 within the required departments.

A news release from Giant Eagle said the offer is for a limited time, but doesn’t specify when it ends. The release says the promotion is in time for celebrations like graduations and Mother’s Day, so hopefully that means it will be around until at least early June.
