Free festival celebrates Cinco de Mayo

Bingo and a buffet lunch are both part of the fun the student government at Mercyhurst  University’s North East campus is planning this weekend.

The student group is hosting a Cinco de Mayo Festival on Saturday from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m., according to the school’s website. Members of the North East community are invited to attend the event that also includes other games and activities plus inflatables,organizers said.

The festival is free to attend, but participants are asked to take a nonperishable food item for the North East Food Pantry.
