Get your first greeting card for free

Father’s Day is coming and both wedding and graduation seasons have started. Buying a gift alone can be expensive, without adding the cost of a card. Here’s one way to save.

Treat.com is offering one free greeting card per household for first-time customers.

Go to the website, pick out a card you like, personalize it (if you want), and when you get to the checkout, enter “freetreat” for the promo code. Details of the offer said it’s for a limited time that can end at any point without notice. So you might not want to wait to get in on this deal.

I picked out a rather generic $2.99 graduation card that I could use for any of several high school graduates I know this year.

Two issues that did come up when I was ordering the card — the site signed me in using my Facebook account and it also required me to enter credit card information even though the total in my cart was $0.
