A group of residents has been working to beautify Elmwood Beach at Canadohta Lake and they’ve organized an “oldies doo-wop” for this weekend to kick off the summer season.

The free event will take place Saturday (rain date is Sunday) from 5 to 8 p.m. at the beach. Hot dogs and snacks will be available for a donation to support the beautification efforts around the lake.
