Art break celebrates refugee communities

The Erie Art Museum is once again offering Mid-Day Art Breaks once a week through August.

The free live music series runs each Wednesday, except July 4, from noon to 1 p.m. at the museum, 411 State St. You also can take a free gallery tour at 12:30 or 1 p.m., according to the museum’s website.

This week’s break will be World Music and Dance in Our Own Backyard celebrating the rich culture of Erie’s many refugee communities.

The art break will take a break on July 4, when the museum is closed.

Next up, on July 11, will be wanderlust-inspired originals and re-imagined classics by the Heliotropes.
