Kids can earn free book from B&N

Barnes & Noble’s Summer Reading Program is offering a free book to children in grades one through six.

All students have to do is read any eight books and record them, along with a recommendation about each book, in the program’s official Reading Journal.

When the journal is full, children take it to a Barnes & Noble store and get to pick a free book from a special program list.

The reading program runs through Sept. 4. For a journal or to learn more, visit a Barnes & Noble store or www.barnesandnoble.com/container/stores.asp?PID=43671
