All you need to take to the Thurston Classic Hot Air Balloon Event in Meadville is something to sit on and your camera to capture all the beautiful balloons.

They’ll go up, and light up, Thursday at about 9 p.m. for the Night Glow.

A flight is scheduled for Friday at 6 p.m.

Races are planned for Saturday at 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. and for Sunday at 7 a.m.

Everything takes place at Allegheny College’s Robertson Athletic Complex, 185 Park Ave.

The event is free although donations are accepted and commemorative items are for sale.
