Basset games fun, free to watch

If you like long ears, slobber and howling, head to Union City on Saturday for Slobberfest 2012.

If you’re a basset hound who likes to play games, the cost is $15 for you and $5 for each four-legged friend you bring for the costume, catch, obstacle and other contests. But if you’re a person who just wants to watch, admission is free.

Basset games start at 11 a.m. at 15581 Stewart Hill Road.

The event is a fundraiser for Droopy Basset Hound Rescue of Western Pennsylvania.

Visit www.droopybassetrescue.com or call (888) 943-8376 to learn more.
