Puppetry featured at free picnic

North East’s Picnic in the Park this Thursday will include Betsy & Friends Puppetry.

The events run each Thursday through Aug. 16 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Gibson Park at the corner of Route 20/West Main Street and Route 89/North Lake Street in the borough.

The entertainment  is free and food will be available for sale from a different eatery each week at “reasonable” prices, organizers said. There’s also a free craft for children each week plus games.

For a list of who’s performing and who’s offering food each Thursday, visit www.nechamber.org/events/Picnic in the Park/Picnic_in_the_Park.htm or call (814) 725-4262.
