Go fish for free

Monday is the second and last Fish-For-Free Day in Pennsylvania this year.

Typically observed in the Keystone State on Memorial Day and Labor Day, Fish-For-Free Days are a time when anyone can legally fish on Pennsylvania’s waterways without having to buy a fishing license.

Normally if you wanted to fish in Pennsylvania, a one-day license would cost you $11.70 if you’re a resident of the state and $26.70 if you’re a tourist, according to the Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission’s website.

More information about Fish-for-Free Days is available at www.fish.state.pa.us/fishforfree.htm.
