Reward yourself and your dog at Paws in the Park

The first 200 attendees at Saturday’s Paws in the Park will get a free doggy bag. The website for the Therapy Dogs United event doesn’t say what kind of goodies you’ll get in the bag, but the day does include plenty of free fun.

Paws in the Park will run Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Frontier Park at the corner of West Eighth Street and the Bayfront Parkway. Admission is free and the event will include live music, demonstrations, a “paw-rade,” a blessing of the dogs, bite prevention tips, animal safety, pet education, raffles, prizes and other activities, according to Therapy Dogs United.

The wiener dog races at noon are free to watch but will cost you $15 to enter  in advance or $20 on race day.
