Scottish Festival features free fun

Iron your kilt, clear out your bagpipes, tune up your harp and then head to Edinboro this weekend.

The Edinboro Highland Games & Scottish Festival will run Thursday through Sunday, with most events taking place on the campus of Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.

The festivities begin Thursday night with a concert. There’s more music Friday night. And Saturday is just packed full of fiddle, harp, dance, bagpipe and athletic competitions, along with stories and music and other activities.

Admission is free to all events except a $30 Saturday night dinner, according to the festival website. Souvenirs and gifts will be available to buy if you want to.
