I learned two things today — 1. it’s National Frozen Yogurt Day and 2. we have a Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt store in Erie County at 6825 Peach St., Summit Township.

Because of the first, you can get free yogurt at the second.

Go to Menchie’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/#!/MyMenchies and you can print a coupon for 6 ounces of free yogurt. The coupon says it is good today only at U.S. locations and you’re limited to one coupon per person. The site also will help you find your nearest Menchie’s. I checked and the Summit Township store is giving away yogurt, but you must take the coupon in.

I just wish National Frozen Yogurt Day fell on a day when it wasn’t 27 degrees in Erie. Frozen anything sounds much more appealing on a day when it’s 80 out.
