Reader Sue wrote in recently to say she was shocked when she saw corned beef brisket selling for $6.49 a pound at an Erie-area grocery store. Sue said she makes corned beef brisket in a crockpot each year for St. Patrick’s Day and it was around $3 a pound in the past.
