Free Asian Festival offered in Erie

You can learn about the cultures, customs and traditions of Bangladesh, Bhutan, Burma, China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Pakistan, the Philippines and Sri Lanka this weekend.

The Erie Asian Pacific American Association will present the fourth Erie Asian Festival on Saturday from noon to 5 p.m. at Gannon University’s Hammermill Center, 620 Peach St. The theme is “Colors of Love.”

Admission is free, with food available for purchase. The event will feature displays, performances and a hands-on activity area where you can try on clothes and make an Indian friendship bracelet or a Bangladeshi bridal hair decoration.
