Ways to reduce your water bill

Here are some simple tips from Purex that can help the environment and help you save some money on your water bill.

In the bathroom — Turn off the faucet while brushing your teeth or shaving. Don’t use the toilet as a garbage can. Each flush costs you water and money.

In the kitchen — Put the plates in the dish washer, which uses less water than hand washing in the sink. Wait until the dishwasher is full to run it.

In the laundry — Wear clothes more than once before washing and wash only full loads.

In the yard — Run your sprinkler in the morning to limit evaporation and water for two or three short cycles instead of one longer one to reduce run-off.
