If there’s an app you’ve been wanting for your iPhone or iPad but were stopped by the price, this could be the week to get it.

In celebration of five years of the App Store, Apple is offering five free games and five free apps to everyone.

The apps are Barefoot World Atlas, Day One (Journal/Diary), How to Cook Everything, Over and Traktor DJ. The games are Badland, Infinity Blade II, Superbrothers: Sword and Sworcery EP, Tiny Wings and Where’s My Water?

Some of the apps normally sell for as much as $19.99.

T.G.I. Friday’s is offering a free appetizer if you download the restaurant chain’s mobile app.

Go to www.tgifridays.com/mobileapp for information about the deal and links to sites where you can get the app for iPhone or Android.

The app is free and you’ll get your free appetizer coupon in the “happenings” section of the app, the T.G.I. Friday’s site says. The coupon is good for a free appetizer worth up to $8 at participating locations.

YouVersion, Biblica and Zondervan are teaming up to give away 1 million digital Bibles.

Starting today at 8 p.m. EST, and continuing through the end of the month, you can download the New International Version of the Bible for free through YouVersion’s Bible App. The free app is available on iPhone, iPad, BlackBerry and Android phones as well as any web-enabled mobile phone, according to a news release.

Once you download it, you can access the Bible anytime, anywhere, according to the companies.
