Christmas is over. Let the sales go on!

Christmas Tree Shops sent me an e-mail saying that Christmas merchandise is 50 percent off today. The sale includes gift wrap, décor and more.

There’s also a clearance sale with up to 65 percent off selected items including some home décor, furniture, dinnerware, frames, candles and bedding, according to the e-mail.

If you’re out and about today shopping or returning gifts and spot a good deal, send the details to me at and I’ll share.

A Red Ryder B.B. gun. A fluffy pink bunny suit. Ovaltine.

I can’t help fans of “A Christmas Story” get the first two, but I can tell you about an offer for free Ovaltine, which little Ralphie drank in his milk in the 1983 movie.

Ovaltine is giving free samples of its drink powder. The pack comes with two stick samples and you can request one pack per person and two per household while supplies last, the giveaway says.

Go to and click on “Stick Pack.”
