Seattle’s Best is giving away 150,000 samples of its house blend.
To claim your .71 of an ounce of free coffee, go to www.facebook.com/seattlesbestcoffee and click on “Free Sample.”
The giveaway started Monday and runs until April 30 or all samples are claimed, the rules say. You’re only allowed one per household.
If you get one, it should arrive in six to eight weeks.
After I submitted my request, I received an e-mail confirming it and offering me a coupon for $2 off one 12-ounce or 20-ounce Seattle’s Best Coffee Ground or off a 10- or 16-count K-Cups pack.

I have company coming this summer so I’m stocking up on coffee samples.
The samples allow me to provide guests with an assortment of coffee to choose from. Plus, I don’t end up buying a big bag of something I won’t use after my visitors have left.
Here are the latest coffee sample offers I came across:
Go to http://see.walmart.com/gevalia?cid=obo.473.4246.1484 to get a free Gevalia sample in either a single-serve cup or roast and ground. You do have to create an eCard before you get to select the sample, but you don’t actually have to send the card to anyone.
Go to www.tasterschoice.com/sample/form.aspx to request a sample packet with six different single-serve stick packs of Nescafe Taster’s Choice. The offer says it’s good while supplies last and you can ask for one per person and two per household.

You can get one of the free .11-ounce stick samples of concentrated coffee in Breakfast Blend, Black Silk or 100 percent Colombian. Go to www.facebook.com/folgers and click on “free sample.”
The promo runs until June 14 or supplies are gone.

Panera Bread has a new site in Erie and that means grand opening specials this week.
The restaurant at 4014 Peach St. opens Tuesday at 6:30 a.m.
Beginning at 10 a.m., the first 500 guests will receive a free coffee mug with free refills for two weeks, according to a postcard I received at home in the mail.
Later Tuesday, and again Wednesday, if you purchase a You-Pick-Two, you can receive a $5 gift card for your next visit, according to the postcard.
To learn more about Panera, visit www.panerabread.com. When I checked out the site today, it didn’t yet list the new Erie store.

I admit I’ve never tried Seattle’s Best Coffee. But I will without paying a penny in 6 to 10 weeks. That’s how long it’s supposed to take for my 1.75-ounce sample of ground coffee to arrive in my mailbox.
I signed up today for the Seattle’s Best Coffee Great American Coffee Refund. The sample is the refund and I got to choose between “bright and lively” or “dark and bold.”
They have 100,000 to give away and you can request one per household until April 18 or supplies run out. The page confirming that my “coffee refund is on its way” also said I could get a free small brewed coffee on April 17 at a Seattle’s Best Coffee Cafe but there weren’t more specific details about that offer.
Go to www.facebook.com/seattlesbestcoffee and click on Great American Coffee Refund.

In celebration of Earth Day, Starbucks is offering two incentives on Friday, according to an e-mail forwarded by Melissa L.
If you take in your own reusable travel mug, the coffee shops will fill it with their premium brewed coffee or tea for free. You can get it hot, if you’re in Erie where it’s still cold, or iced, if you’re somewhere where spring has actually arrived.
If you buy a travel mug, the price will be 20 percent off and you’ll get it filled with coffee or tea for free.
Visit www.starbucks.com to learn more (watch the video) or find a Starbucks (if you don’t live in one of those places with the coffee stores on almost every corner).

Today is your last day to get a free small coffee from a McDonald’s restaurant in northwestern Pennsylvania. The Erie-area restaurants are offering you a complimentary small premium roast drip coffee until midnight tonight.
It’s a deal for you and it also benefits Ronald McDonald House Charities, to which the restaurants are donating a penny for each coffee given away.
