The 2013 UPMC Sunset Music Series kicks off tonight at Presque Isle State Park.

The free Wednesday evening concerts on Beach 1 run through July 17. The music
begins each week at 6 p.m.

Penn State Behrend’s Larry and Kathryn Smith Chapel will be the site of a free concert Monday at 7 p.m.

The performance will feature organist Larry Allen, director of music at Mount Lebanon United Lutheran Church, and oboist Scott Bell, from the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, according to a news release from the college.

Free parking will be available in the Junker Center lot.

Gannon University’s Erie Chamber Orchestra has another free concert coming up.

You can hear works by Britten, R. Strauss and Mozart performed Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Luther Memorial Church, 225 W. 10th St. The performance will feature soloist Chris Rapier, the orchestra’s principal horn.
