There are some items, toilet paper and facial tissues among them, that I’m willing to spend a little more on to get a certain brand that I particularly like or feel works best. For other items, like diet root beer, I’m content to buy whatever is on sale.

Cat litter falls into the former category and I usually buy Fresh Step even though I’ve never had a coupon for it and some of the other brands cost less. I do hope, however, that I’ll get a coupon soon.

Fresh Step has a cat film festival promo that is giving away 1,800 prizes, including coupons for $3 off litter. There are 1,600 coupons available, plus 100 grand prizes of a Fresh Step T-shirt and 100 first prizes of something called a “neon cuff,” according to the official rules.

You can play once per day through Feb. 28 by voting in the film festival. Go to https://freshstep.com and click on “Catdance Festival.”
