Apparently NFL teams are implementing a new “All Clear” policy regarding bags that can be taken into games. The new policy is supposed to help with safety and make security more efficient.
If you’re going to see your favorite team play, now you’re limited to carrying in a clear tote or one gallon clear plastic freezer bag. Small, and I mean small, clutch bags also are allowed. No more large purses or camera bags, backpacks, fanny packs and the like. If you want to take a blanket and it won’t fit in your tote, you’re told to toss it over your shoulder.
Looks like a lot of teams are selling clear totes with their logo. But at least one team, that I’m aware of, is helping out fans by giving away free bags if you take the “All Clear Pledge.” The Atlanta Falcons will send your one or two clear totes with the team logo.
To request your Atlanta bags, which should be delivered by Sept. 13, go to http://tickets.atlantafalcons.com/nfl-all-clear-policy/6678/ and scroll down to the bottom to click on “Take the All Clear Pledge Now.”
If you hear of any other NFL teams giving away free bags, e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I’ll share the info.
