Otters fans and people seeking gifts for Otters fans should visit and click on “clearance” under “shop.”

I did and found numerous items of Otters apparel on sale.

When I looked, the smallest discount was 36 percent and would get you a $5 Erie Otters Hockey bumper sticker for just $3.18. A $40 zip-up sweatshirt was just $25, or 37 percent off.

The best deal was 53 percent off a youth Otters T-shirt that was marked down from $14.97 to $6.97. Men’s and ladies’ sweatpants in a couple colors were 50 percent off, down to $15 from $30.

When I was exploring the Erie Otters website to see if they had any upcoming promotions of interest, I found a link to OHL Livestream, which is offering two days when you can watch hockey for free.

The fan appreciation days are today and Saturday and the list of Ontario Hockey League games I saw available at included Erie at Owen Sound tonight at 7:30.

To watch for free, you have to enter the promo code OHLFree2012, according to the promo I saw. Single games usually cost $6.99, according to the site.
