Christmas Tree Shops, TGI Fridays, Smokey Bones and Ram are treating veterans to special deals and meals this holiday weekend. There are probably other offers, but these are the ones I’ve heard about so far.

U.S. military members and veterans, including active duty, DOD, reserves, guard, retirees, veterans and military spouses, can get 20 percent off their entire purchase at Christmas Tree Shops on Saturday, Sunday and Monday, according to a flier I received.  The discount, in honor of Veterans Day, is good in-store only and a valid form of military ID is required.

For more information, including the acceptable forms of ID, go to http://view.ed4.net/w/A7FMFVX/QVK3/72PQV2E/2FKBR/1/2b3fb9294d3f6d2bf2ba/FORMATOVERRIDE=H

Veterans and active duty military service members are invited to have lunch on TGI Fridays on Monday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The offer is valid at participating restaurants on select menu items. Proof of military service is required, according to the fine print.

Go to www.tgifridays.com/veteransday to learn more.

Smokey Bones Bar & Fire Grill is providing a 30 percent discount on veterans’ meals Monday. Military ID must be shown, according to an e-mail I received.

Go to www.smokeybones.com to find a restaurant.

Ram is offering a Military Appreciation Bonus Cash Allowance to active and retired U.S. military members. The offer is for $500 to use toward the purchase or lease of a new Ram truck.

Smokey Bones wants to get you out of the hot kitchen.

Instead of staying home and cooking in the July heat, the chain hopes you’ll eat out at one of its restaurants and is offering you $10 off a $20 purchase through July 21.

A coupon is required for the deal, which doesn’t include alcohol. The offer is good at any of the 65 Smokey Bones Bar & Fire Grill locations in 17 states including Pennsylvania, Ohio and New York.

To get the coupon, go to www.facebook.com/smokeybones.

If the free curly fries I mentioned this morning weren’t enough to get you excited about tax time, here’s another offer meant to brighten that dreaded day.

Smokey Bones Bar & Fire Grill restaurants are offering last-minute tax filers a free Creamy Vanilla Cheesecake Bites dessert on Monday from 7 p.m. to midnight.

To get the freebie, all you need to do is mention that you’re there for your “cheesy refund,” according to a news release from Smokey Bones. The release doesn’t actually specify that to get the dessert you must have waited to file your taxes until the last day.
