In celebration of Pennsylvania’s 332nd birthday, numerous Pennsylvania Historical & Museum Commission sites are offering free admission on Sunday. That includes the Erie Maritime Museum.
The museum on Erie’s bayfront at 150 E. Front St. will be open Sunday for free from noon to 5 p.m., officials said.
Charter Day celebrates the establishment of Pennsylvania in 1681, the year that King Charles II of England gave William Penn the charter for the land that became the commonwealth.
