Breakfast was a fantastic way to start my transition into this year’s cold months. I really could eat breakfast everyday for all three meals, and if I tried that in Erie, I would be able to do a different restaurant for each one too. I tried to order the house specialty or the most popular dish everywhere I went. Also, I tasted multiple items at each stop. Here are my final results:
Omelet – Dominick’s, Lawrence Park Dinor, Diamond Café
Breakfast Meats–Freeport Restaurant, the Pufferbelly Restaurant
Pancakes – Zodiac Dinor (waffle), Freeport Restaurant
Potatoes – Summer House Café, Lawrence Park Dinor
Specialty – Corned beef hash burrito, Summer House Café; Frittata, the Breakfast Place; Greek sauce, Lawrence Park Dinor; Crabby Bennie, Diamond Café
This section of my tour has been my favorite so far. Every location was wonderful. I’d like to thank all of the servers and cooks again for making my visits as great as possible. I am glad that I now have many more places to go eat breakfast
The next eight weeks of my Erie food tour will be filled with ethnic foods in the area. I am extremely excited to try new places in town. I have a few places in mind that I want to visit, but please continue to make suggestions here or send e-mails letting me know where you think I should go.
Let’s go ethnic!
