As of noon, just obstructed view tickets remain available for tonight’s Blake Shelton concert at Tullio Arena. Justin Moore and Dia Frampton will open; the show starts at 7:30 p.m. Read about it in today’s Showcase.
Chautauqua has added Roger Hodgson, the former Supertramp leader, for an Aug. 25 concert. The show is billed as “Breakfast in America with Roger Hodgson, the legendary voice of Breakfast in America.” So, expect plenty of Supertramp, in other words: “Give a Little Bit,” “Logical Song,,” Dreamer,” etc.
Tickets for all Chautauqua shows go on sale in March.
Ringo Starr and his 13th annual All Star Band will open their summer tour June 14-15 at Fallsview Casino in Niagara Falls, Ont. The tour won’t get any closer than that; there are no dates for Cleveland, Pittsburgh or Buffalo.
Cleveland’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame announced six more groups will be inducted in April: the Blue Caps, the Comets, the Crickets, the Famous Flames, the Miracles and the Midnighters. They join their legendary lead singers, who were previously inducted. This make sense; can you imagine Buddy Holly without the Crickets, James Brown without the Famous Flames, and Motown-era Smokey Robinson minus the Miracles? And this move paves the way for another wrong to eventually be righted: E Street Band joining Bruce Springsteen.
“Drive By” by Train leaps to No. 12 from No. 17 on the latest Billboard Adulpt Pop Chart. Its right behind “Heartbeat” by the Fray, who will play Erie on April 15 at Tullio Arena.
Gannon, Penn State Behrend and Edinboro are joining forces to present the concert. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Feb. 25, but are available Saturday through Feb. 24 at a discount to students at the sponsoring schools. Jack’s Mannequin and Andy Grammer will open.
