Monster show headed here; SeaWolves tix

For the first time, the Toughest Monster Truck Tour will roll into Erie.
Led by Bigfoot, which is pretty much the Elvis of Monster Trucks, the show will hit the Tullio Arena on April 27-28. Also competing:: current world champ Avenger, Brutus, Tailgator and Toxic.
The Jet Quad and Keith King BMX teams will also participate.
Tickets gp on sale Monday. If you buy tickets anytime Monday through April 1, you get a free pit pass included, as well as $3 off select adult seats. After April 1, a pit pass costs $5.
Kids tickets (except for gold circle) are $10.

Erie SeaWolves tickets go on sale Saturday at noon, online only, at www.seawolves.com. You can get them at the Jerry Uht Park box office beginning March 24 with Super Ticket Saturday.
The SeaWolves are bringing back the popular Friends & Family packages. You get four tickets, four SeaWolves caps and four McDonald’s Extra Value Meals for $29.99.
Also available: an MVP package with four box seats and a Justin Verlander bobblehead doll for $35.Act quickly on that one; the bobbleheads usually get scooped up.
Also returning: Buck Nights each Monday. The 2012 season will include 10 of those, starting on April 16.
Tuesdays will feature something new: Kids Eat Free Night. The first 500 kids ages 12 and younger will get a Smith’s hot dog,, chips and a Pepsi fountain drink.
One cool new theme night: Star Wars Night on May 26 with Imperial Troopers representing Garrison Carida from the 501st Legion. Fans are encouraged to dress like their favorite “Star Wars” characters. There will also be a Talk Like Yoda contest between innings.
Dogs owners can bring their pets on Aug. 9 for Bark at the Park Night. The SeaWolves will wear pink uniforms during Paint the Park Pink weekend, June 8-10.
The home season starts April 12 when the SeaWolves play Bowie at 6:35 p.m. The first 1,000 fans that night will get a magnetic schedule.

Soundspike reports Old 97s front man Rhett Miller will release a new solo CD “The Dreamer” on June 5 and embark on a tour. The only area date: Pittsburgh’s Club Cafe on June 6. He’ll be accompanied by his band, Lady Serial Killers (not Old 97s.).
