Concert update

Here is a list of just announced shows, and concerts coming up within the next week. We had no space for them in Thursday’s Showcase.
Before that, a reminder: One-man band phenom Zach Deputy returns to Crooked I on Saturday with special guest Funktapuss. We featured Deputy in Showcase the last time he played; I caught the show and he was stellar. Don’t miss him if you’re out on Saturday.
The Rolling Stones will be feted in a new Rock and Roll Hall of Fame exhibit that opens May 24. The large-scale look at the band, which arrives during their 50th anniversary, will take up 2 1/2 floors and include never-before-displayed items. The rock hall will augment it with assorted lectures and films during its run through March 2014.
Mr. Smalls Theatre near Pittsburgh will celebrate its 10th anniversary in May and June with some special shows. So far, the following are booked: The Startling Line and Punchline (June 2, on sale March 9): Bloc Party (June 1); Lotus (June 7-8); Foals, Surfer Bloode (June 9) and Alt-J (June 10.). More acts will be announced later for May 29-31, June 3-6 and June 11-15.
