Paul Simon at Chautauqua
Chautauqua Institution today posted an Aug. 16 date with Paul Simon — but it’s not a traditional concert.
Simon will join U.S. poet laureate Billy Collins and talk about songwriting. The CI post describes the show like this: “Two renowned artists sit together with microphones and a guitar to discuss the art of writing from the vantage point of their life’s work. This unique evening with two unparalleled artists brings their insights and personal stories to the Amp stage.”
With a guitar there, odds are you’ll hear a Simon song or two, right? One can hope.
Tickets will be $40 and go on sale April 1, along with the rest of the Amphitheater series.
