John Mayer has apparently healed up from recent health concerns about his throat; he today announced his first major tour in three years.
Mayer, with special guest Phillip Phillips, will play Aug. 6 at Blossom Music Center near Cleveland; Aug. 13 at Darien Lake Performing Arts Center near Buffalo; and on Aug. 25 at First Niagara Pavilion in Burgettstown.
The Blossom show goes on sale March 29. Darien Lake and First Niagara shows both go on sale March 30. All three shows feature tickets through Ticketmaster online and by phone at (800) 745-3000.
Crawford County Fair’s web site lists a show with Rodney Atkins and Jana Kramer with a “details to follow” message. The fair will open on Aug. 17.
The Buffalo Punk Explosion show with the Vores and Unordained, plus “Bflo Pnk 1.0,” a documentary on the Buffalo punk scene from the 1970s and early 1980s, will play at PACA, 1505 State, today at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10, available at the door.
The show is PACA’s second in a series of film-and-music events that features new works by independent, grassroots filmmakers and live shows. It’s curated by Tom Weber, an Erie native and independent filmmaker based in Pittsburgh. He formerly played guitar in the Dogs.
