It was hot. Gathering at Harley-Davidson of Erie Friday afternoon, everyone was dripping sweat and collecting under the shade of trees, buildings–anything to find some relief from the sun.
What better way than to cool off than to jump in the Thunder on the Isle parade? I was lucky enough to literally hop right into the action. Scott Betten of AllAboutBikes.com, drove me in the side car of his blue Harley-Davidson for Thunder on the Isle parade on Presque Isle.
Talk about an amazing experience. What they say is true, you have to love the freedom of riding on a bike. And being in one of the Roar on the Shore parades is something special. Not only do you have the wind following through you hair and the sun on your face, but you feel like a celebrity being able to wave at everyone lined up on the road to see you on your way.
Were you on Presque Isle, waving to the parade? See if you can find your face in our Thunder on the Isle Follow Along gallery. Check out our videos on our player from the parade.
