Ryan Raburn spent his entire 12-year professional baseball career in the Detroit Tigers’ farm system or with the parent club. That included most of the 2004 season, when he hit .301 in 98 Eastern League games for the Erie SeaWolves.

But Raburn’s tenure with the Tigers officially ended Monday when he signed a minor league contract with the Cleveland Indians. The 31-year old will receive a non-roster invitation when the Tribe begins spring training next month.

Raburn briefly played for Detroit in 2004, and then again from 2007-12. He hit .171 in 66 games last season for the Tigers, who won the American League pennnant.
