Fantasy focus: Monday’s starting pitchers to target

A light schedule for Monday, but some opportunities for fantasy baseball daily-leaguers:
Chicago White Sox (Sale 3-2) at Kansas City (Shields 2-2), 2:10 p.m.
Oakland (Parker 1-4) at Cleveland (U.Jimenez 1-2), 7:05 p.m.
Minnesota (Worley 0-4) at Boston (Buchholz 6-0), 7:10 p.m.
Toronto (Buehrle 1-2) at Tampa Bay (Hellickson 1-2), 7:10 p.m.
Texas (Tepesch 2-2) at Chicago Cubs (Feldman 2-3), 8:05 p.m.
Atlanta (Maholm 3-3) at Cincinnati (Arroyo 2-3), 7:10 p.m.
Texas (Tepesch 2-2) at Chicago Cubs (Feldman 2-3), 8:05 p.m.
Arizona (Cahill 1-3) at L.A. Dodgers (Capuano 0-1), 10:10 p.m.
Miami (LeBlanc 0-4) at San Diego (Cashner 1-2), 10:10 p.m.
Philadelphia (Lee 2-2) at San Francisco (Bumgarner 3-0), 10:15 p.m.

Here’s who I like and don’t:

Must start
Go with James Shields, Clay Buchholz, Chris Sale, Madison Bumgarner and Cliff Lee if you have them.

Good start
I’m a Paul Maholm fan, so I’d start him. … Because of limited options, I’d go with Trevor Cahill today if I’m trying to pick off a win. … Andrew Cashner is my sleeper pick for the day. … Nick Tepesch is another OK choice, especially against the Cubs.

I’m a little reluctant to go with Bronson Arroyo, although I could see an argument for starting him. Mark Buehrle and Jeremy Hellickson meet today. Neither one is too promising, but I’d take Hellickson if I needed someone.

I’m waiting before I start Chris Capuano. … There’s nothing promising about Wade LeBlanc. … Two 7-plus ERAs meet in Jarrod Parker and Ubaldo Jimenez. I’m not ready to trust Ubaldo, even though he had seven shutout innings in his last outing. If you’re convinced, go for it. … Vance Worley should still be searching for his first win after today.
